タイムアウト後#3 パーカーや#21 エドワーズのインサイドで得点を重ねるが、ディフェンスリバウンドから栃木#18 鵤や#6 比江島の3Pで加点され点差を縮めることが出来ない。

栃木も#6 比江島のドライブなどで加点するが、#3 パーカーが攻守でリバウンドを抑えてリズムを作り主導権を維持。
リードを9点に広げ、勢いのまま勝負の最終Qへ。

第4Q開始から#1 ダンカン、#31 原の得点がテンポよく決まりリードを2桁に広げると、さらに#11 西村の3Pも続き9-0のランを成功させる千葉。
しかし#6 比江島の3Pや#10 竹内のバスケットカウントで栃木もオフェンスを立て直し、ディフェンスでも#13 渡邉がスティールを成功させるなど少しずつ点差が縮まってくる。
第4Q残り2分、再び栃木#10 竹内がバスケットカウントを決めついに1桁差まで追い上げられるが、ディフェンスの強度を落とさず得点チャンスに繋げてリードを維持。
最後まで得点を重ねる栃木を振り切り、ファイナル進出へ繋がる重要な1勝を掴んだ。

「お互いが相手の持ち味を消そうと激しく戦った、紙一重のいいゲームだったと思います。栃木さんは本当にリバウンドが強いので、楽して取ろうとせずにしっかり強度を持って試合に臨もうと練習から強調してきたので、それを選手達が徹底してくれたところが勝利に繋がったかと思います。」

「今日のような競った展開になることは想定して準備していた中で、後半のディフェンスとリバウンドは評価出来ると思います。自分のところで得点はあまり出来ませんでしたが、他のメンバーを活かすことでチームとして上手く機能させて、結果的に勝てたことが良かったと思います。」

「気負いなく先週のいいリズムのまま入れたので、結果として少なからずチームに貢献は出来たかなと思います。ただ交代してすぐ自分のところでやられてしまったりもしたので、しっかり明日に向けてまたマインドセットをしなおしてディフェンスを頑張りたいと思います。」

「ディフェンスで我慢し続けたことと、初めてじゃないかというくらいリバウンドを取る事が出来たのが大きかったと思います。とはいえ、少しディフェンスがソフトになってしまって栃木さんに得点されてしまう場面もあったので、明日はそういった部分を修正していきたいと思います。」

「出だしは栃木さんの勢いに呑まれてしまいましたが、後半からチームとしてやろうとしてたことが出来たのが勝因かなと思います。自分はディフェンスが上手い方ではないんですが、フィジカルに行くことでチームのディフェンス強度を上げられれば明日も貢献出来ると思うので頑張ります。」
