横浜が立ち上がりからリズムを一気に上げ、#4 カーター、#7 ベクトン、#10 チェンバースと連続得点を奪いに来る。対して昨日と比べ重い立ち上がりとなった千葉は#2 富樫が3Pを沈め、#1 ダンカンもインサイドからの得点で続き、ジワジワと点差を詰め始める。
しかし、横浜#2 ストックマン・ジュニアらに追加点を許し、流れを変えるためにここで一度タイムアウトを使用。タイムアウトで体制を整えると、#12 ショーターがAnd1等の連続得点で反撃しビハインドを縮めて第1Qを終了する。

千葉 31-35 横浜
横浜#7 ベクトンに先制点を許すが、直後#12 ショーター、#22 サイズが3Pや意地の連続リバウンドから掴んだAnd1等で点を奪い返す。その後も#2 富樫が3Pを、#12 ショーターがジャンパーを決め反撃するものの、オフェンスのリズムを上げてきた横浜もここからハッスルし点の入れ合いになったところで前半のオフィシャルタイムアウトへ。
オフィシャルタイムアウト明けは両者拮抗した展開となる。千葉は#22 サイズ、#6 赤穂、#1 ダンカンらが果敢にゴールを狙いに行くもののディフェンスの強度を上げた横浜相手にことごとくリングに嫌われる結果に。タイムアウト後、#31 原が3Pを沈めチームを鼓舞するが、前半最後まで横浜の勢いを止めることが出来ず前半を折り返す。

#31 原が先制点を挙げるが、対する横浜#9 森川、#7 ベクトンらに続けざまの得点を許してしまい、再び苦しい状況に。千葉の得点が思うように進まない我慢の時間が続く中、#1 ダンカンがゴール下からの得点を沈め、必死に食らいつく。
しかし、その後も自分たちのリズムを作ることが出来ずタイムアウトを使用し立て直しを図る千葉。タイムアウト後、#22 サイズが加点しチームを牽引。これに#12 ショーターも連続得点で繋げると、さらに#21 エドワーズ、#5 田口も3Pで続き、千葉のペースで点差を縮めたところで第3Q終了。
4Q
千葉 70-63 横浜
開始すぐ、#21 エドワーズが先制点を挙げる。横浜#1 アウダに得点を許すが、これに#5 田口が3Pで反撃。さらにその後、#11 西村のジャンパーで逆転すると、#12 ショーターも流れを牽引し、4点リードで横浜のタイムアウトへ。タイムアウトを挟んだ後も＃5 田口からのアシストを#21 エドワーズが着実に得点するなど、波を引き寄せたところで後半のオフィシャルタイムアウトへ。
オフィシャルタイムアウト明け、横浜に連続得点を許し再び逆転されてしまう。ここで早めのタイムアウト使用すると、タイムアウト後、#22 サイズがインサイドから得点し、再び千葉のリードに戻す。その後もリズム良く#2 富樫、#12 ショーターの連続3Pが決まり勝利。タフな試合をモノにし、連勝を3に伸ばした。

「負けるかもしれないという状況で火が着いた感じでしたが、そうではなく試合開始から終了のブザーが鳴るまで自分達のやるべきことを遂行しなければいけません。自分達が成し遂げたい物が近付いて来ているこの状況では、もっと目に見えるような感情の高まりが必要だと思います。シゲは3Pを決めたのも良かったですが、献身的にやってくれたなと思います。チームの為にファウルを使う、ビッグマンにも恐れず立ち向かっていく、リバウンドに絡みに行く。チームの為に何ができるかを攻守共に考えてプレーしてくれたと思います。」

「出だしのディフェンスがソフトになってしまったので、最初からタフにやれるようにしなければと反省点の多い試合でした。待機期間明けからチームの雰囲気はいいんですが、課題が改善している訳ではないのでこういう試合をしていたらCSで勝ってはいけないと危機感を持っています。」
