開始から北海道#4 寺園のジャンパー、#21 ロングにダンクを許すが、すぐさま#14 佐藤が3P、#34 スミスがジャンパーを決め返す。その後も#2 富樫が3P、#34 スミスがジャンパーを沈め波をつくるが、対する北海道#21 ロングにジャンパー、ダンクを立て続けに許してしまう苦しい展開となる。
しかし、#34 スミスがバスケットカウントを決めてチームを鼓舞すると、#2 富樫のフリースロー、#31 原のジャンパーなどで得点を重ねペースを掴む千葉。#15 藤永がタフなディフェンスで相手のシュートチャンスを奪うなどハッスルし、リードで第2Qへ。

先制点を北海道#25 葛原に許すも、すぐさま#1 ダンカンがゴール下でバスケットカウントを決める。更に#11 西村が技ありのレイアップを決めると、その後は守備でもハードに守る千葉。北海道#0 橋本にレイアップを許すが#9 二上のフリースロー、#1 ダンカンのゴール下と得点を重ねていく。しかし北海道#0 橋本にバスケットカウント、セカンドチャンスで3Pを許し、拮抗した展開でOTへ。
OT明け、早速#34 スミスがゴール下のタフショットを決める躍動をみせるが、千葉のターンオーバーから北海道#21 ロングにゴール下を決められ、とうとう逆転を許してしまう。ここですぐさま#13 大倉が3Pを決めてこれに対抗。しかし再び北海道#21 ロングにバスケットカウントを決められ一点を争う展開が続くかと思われたが、Q終盤、#1 ダンカンのジャンパー、#21 エドワーズのフリースロー、#34 スミスの3Pが決まり、リードを広げて前半を折り返す。

先制点はファストブレイクから#2 富樫のレイアップ。北海道#24ブルックスにゴール下を許すも、#34 スミスがセカンドチャンスでゴール下、さらに#2 富樫が3Pを沈めてイニシアチブを握る。さらに、スティールから果敢に攻めた#6 赤穂のフリースロー、#21 エドワーズのダンクで得点を重ねリードを広げる千葉。
その後も#13 大倉がレイアップ、#31 原がクイックシュートを決めると、#1 ダンカンがバスケットカウントで続くなど勢いが止まらず、点差を20点まで広げることに成功。北海道の追撃も受けたが、再び#1 ダンカンがゴール下のタフショットを決めるなどインサイドでハッスルし、19点リードで最終Ｑへ。

北海道にテクニカルファウルのコールがあったため、#1 ダンカンのフリースローから試合がスタートするが、開始早々北海道#21 ロングにダンク、ゴール下、#0 橋本にレイアップを許してしまう。しかし、#34 スミスがジャンパー、レイアップを決め意地を見せる。その後はゴールが遠い時間帯が続き、流れを掴み切れぬままOTへ。
OT明け、#6 赤穂が3Pを沈めてチームを鼓舞すると、#34 スミスも3P、更にバスケットカウントと決めてこれに続く。更にファストブレイクから#6 赤穂がレイアップ、#2 富樫が連続3Pを決め危なげなく試合を運び、インサイドの要#33 ムーニーを欠く中、21点差でホーム6連勝目を飾った。

大野 篤史
前回北海道のホームで本当に悔しい負け方をしていたので、今回はホームを守るという気持ちを持って臨みました。一人長期離脱になってしまいましたが、誰か一人がカバーするのではなく一人一人が少しずつ仕事をして全員で戦っていこうというところを選手が体現してくれたと思います。

富樫 勇樹
天皇杯ファイナルのすぐ後でしたがしっかり切り替えてチームとして戦えたと思います。ムーニー選手が欠場というアクシデントはあったものの、全員でカバーしあって掴めた勝利だと思います。雷太やラシードも4番で頑張ってくれて、2人の力もシーズン終盤必ず必要になると思います。
