序盤#31 原の3Pや#2 富樫のAND1でリードを奪う千葉に対し、#22 ロシターや#21 橋本のインサイド中心にスコアを伸ばしてくる栃木。
最終Qに入ってもどちらに転ぶかわいいからない状況が続き、千葉 63-60 栃木でオフィシャルタイムアウトを迎える。
タイムアウト明け栃木#18 鵤、#6 比江島の3Pが立て続けに決まるが、千葉も#2 富樫が3P含む連続得点を挙げ対抗。
その後も#2 富樫がショットクロック間際に3Pを沈めるなど、千葉は残り1分でリードを6点に広げる。
最後まで点差を守り抜き、東地区首位をキープする勝利を挙げた。

「天皇杯でオフェンスを多く取られポゼッション数で負けていた所を修正しようと話していました。前半ソフトになってしまいましたが、原選手が守備の強度を引き上げてくれました。彼だけが頑張ったわけではありませんが、彼の頑張りがチームのエナジーを引き出してくれたと思います。」

「天皇杯の後で、気持ちの切替えや疲れの部分で難しい試合だったと思います。天皇杯で初優勝した後に栃木さんのホームでボロ負けした記憶があるので今日はホームで凄く助けられました。ホームの心強さはやはりあるので、CSのホーム開催を勝ち取れるよう残りのシーズンも頑張ります。」

「ここまで過密な日程でやることがあまりないですし、難しい試合になることは想定していました。天皇杯で頑張ってくれた選手が本当に疲れていたので、今日は自分が助けなきゃいけないと思って試合に臨みました。課題はまだまだありますが、貢献出来た部分を継続していきたいです。」
