開始から#21 エドワーズの3P、#1 ダンカンのフリースローで得点を重ねる好スタート。島根#3 安藤のジャンプショット、3Pと連続得点を許すも、#14 佐藤の得点を皮切りに#2 富樫のレイアップ、#14 佐藤の3P、#2富樫のフローター、#21エドワーズのゴール下とリズムよく加点しオフェンスのペースを上げていく。その後も島根#2 ビュフォードに3P、レイアップと得点されてしまうが、#34 スミス、#1 ダンカンのバスケットカウントが立て続けに決まりリードを譲らない。島根#22 小阪、#3 安藤に3Pを沈められるが、なんとか逆転を許さず3点リードで第2Qへ。

立ち上がり、#31 原のレイアップ、#21 エドワーズのショットと得点を重ねる。波に乗る島根#3 安藤に3Pを決められてしまうが、#31 原がバスケットカウントを決め返すなど激しい攻防を展開。その後、島根#8 トラビスの3P、#28 ニカ、#14 金丸のジャンプショットで同点に追いつかれると、互いにハードディフェンスでファイトするも島根#3 安藤にゴール下を決められ逆転を許す苦しい展開に。しかしOT明け、#31 原のレイアップから流れを掴み#34 スミス、#1 ダンカンのゴール下、#34スミスの速攻からのレイアップで再度逆転に成功し6点リードへ。Q終盤、#2 富樫、島根#3 安藤が激しい点の取り合いを繰り広げ一進一退の展開となるが、#1 ダンカンのジャンプショットにより点差を10点差に広げる千葉。しかし、終了間際に#14 金丸に3Pを決められ7点リードで前半を折り返す。

Q序盤から互いに激しいディフェンスを展開し、攻撃のチャンスを得点に繋げることのできない時間が続く。島根#4 ケイにフリースロー、# 13阿部にレイアップを決められ、これを#1 ダンカンの得点で返すが、果敢なアタックを仕掛けてくる島根#3 安藤のフローターにより点差を1点差まで縮められる。その後も島根#8 トラビスのインサイド、島根#4 ケイのダンクにより同点に追い付かれる厳しい展開となるが、すぐさま#14 佐藤の3P、#21 エドワーズのダンク、ゴール下と逆転は許さない。島根も#4 ケイのバスケットカウント等で食い下がるが、対する千葉も#21 エドワーズのゴール下、#34 スミスの3Pシュートなどで3点リードを守り最終Qへ。

開始から#14 佐藤のフリースロー、#21 エドワーズのジャンプショットによりリードを守ると、試合開始から約5分間ハードなディフェンスで島根の得点をシャットアウト。しかし、猛追する島根#2 ビュフォードに3Pやジャンプショットを連続で決められ再び3点差まで詰められる厳しい展開に。さらに、島根#3 安藤のレイアップ、#2 ビュフォードにダンクを決められるが、すぐさま#2 富樫、#31 原の3Pが立て続けに決まり主導権は譲らない千葉。残り1分半で#21 エドワーズの速攻からのダンクで10点差とすると、最後まで意地をみせる島根#2 ビュフォードに3Pシュートを許すも7点リードで今シーズン初白星を掴み取った。

大野 篤史
互いにトランジションのチームでペースの速さが特徴なんですが、怪我人も居る中でそこの勝負だと分が悪いと判断してスローダウンさせたことでイニシアチブを掴めたと思っています。昨日はポゼッションでもRBでも負けていたので、その部分を選手達がプライドを持って改善してくれたと思います。

昨日の試合で自分が求められていることを出来なかったので、今日はオフェンスというよりはとにかくディフェンスや走ることを徹底して相手の外国籍選手に一点も決めさせないぞという気持ちで臨みました。
群馬戦もまずはディフェンスから入って、チャンスがあれば自分の持ち味のスピードを活かしたダンク等でオフェンスでも貢献したいです。おそらくパーカー選手とマッチアップすると思うので、2年前とは違うぞというところを見せられるよう熱く戦っていきたいと思います。
