千葉のターンオーバーから新潟#25 アレンにダンクを許してしまうが、#34 スミスが3Pを沈め再びリードを広げたところでOT。OT明けも#34 スミスのフリースロー、#21 エドワーズのゴール下などで得点を重ね、主導権は譲らない。その後も、新潟#25 アレンにバスケットカウントを沈められるが#31 原が3Pを決めるなどして更にリードを広げ、前半を折り返す。

先制点を挙げたのは新潟#1 星野。しかしすぐさま#31 原、#33 ムーニーがジャンパーを沈め決め返す。新潟#6 パラス、#15 ネパウェにジャンパー、#3 大矢に3Pを沈められ一気に差を縮められたところで、ディフェンスを締め直し体制を立て直した千葉は、#33 ムーニーがダンクでチームを鼓舞すると#1 ダンカンがタフショットで続き、再度リードを築いていく。
その後、新潟#25 アレンに立て続けにレイアップを許し、#15 ネパウェ、#25 アレンにバスケットカウントを決められるが、#34 スミスが3P、#33 ムーニーがバスケットカウントを決め返し、イニシアチブを握ったまま試合を進めていく。終了間際、#2 富樫の連続3Pが決まり会場のボルテージが一気に上がったところで最終Qへ。

開始から#6 赤穂の3Pが決まる好スタート。新潟#25 アレンにバスケットカウントを許すが、#11 西村の華麗なアシストから#1 ダンカンがゴール下を決めるなどハッスルする。新潟#21 納見に3Pを沈められると、#6 赤穂がゴール下、スティールから#1 ダンカンがゴール下を決めるなど相手にプレッシャーを与え、じわじわと点差を広げてOTへ。
OT明け、新潟#1星野 にレイアップ、#32 池田にジャンパーを許すが、#15 藤永が3Pを決めると、その後もハードなディフェンスで相手から8秒オーバータイムを奪うなど躍動。#14 佐藤、#8 大宮のフリースローなどで得点を重ね最後までリズムを崩すことなく白星を飾った。

前節の後に、ディフェンスが課題で、その課題から目を逸らして真摯に向き合ってない姿勢こそが問題だと話していました。上手かったか下手かではなく、今日はそこにしっかり取り組もうという意識が見えたところが良かった部分で、クオリティはここから上げていければと思います。

個人的には滋賀戦が本当にダメで大野さんの信頼を失ってしまっていたので、今日プレータイムを貰って結果も残せたので良かったです。ただ、一日良くても次の日ダメなら意味が無いので、明日チャンスが貰えたら今日以上にアグレッシブにプレーして信頼を勝ち取りたいと思います。
