開始から#31 原がレイアップ、3Pと連続得点を決める好スタート。続いて#33 ムーニーがレイアップ、バスケットカウント、#2 富樫が3Pを決めるなど序盤からオフェンスのペースをあげていく千葉。
対する宇都宮も#42 フォトゥ、#40 スコットらインサイド陣を中心に得点を重ねてくるが、千葉は#1 ダンカンがジャンパー、#33 ムーニーがフローター、#34 スミスが3Pと決め切り点差を縮めることを許さない。ハードなディフェンスで相手の得点チャンスを奪うなど守備でもハッスルし、10点リードで第2Qへ。

先制点は#13 大倉のレイアップ。宇都宮#31 喜多川に3Pを許すも、すぐさま#34 スミスがジャンパーを決め返し、#1 ダンカンのアシストから#33 ムーニーがダンクを叩き込む躍動を見せる。しかし、宇都宮の#40 スコットに連続得点、ターンオーバーから#6 比江島に3P許してしまったところで千葉はたまらずタイムアウト。
タイムアウト明け、#34 スミスがジャンパーを決めチームを鼓舞すると、#21 エドワーズがジャンパー、#2 富樫が3Pとこれに続き点差を広げる。宇都宮#9 遠藤に3Pを許すが#33 ムーニーがダンク、#2 富樫がレイアップ、3Pを決めるなど更にリードを広げ、後半へ。

OT明け、#21 エドワーズがゴール下、#33 ムーニーがフリースローで得点。宇都宮#0 田臥にジャンパーを許すが、#21 エドワーズがセカンドチャンスからゴール下を連続で決めるなどインサイドでハッスルする。途中出場した#9 二上のアシストで#1 ダンカンが連続でジャンパーを決めるなどし、1か月ぶりのホームゲームを白星で

前回フィジカルさで負けてしまい宇都宮さんのホームでズタボロにされたので、フィジカルさで負けないでいこうと話していた部分を立ち上がりから体現してくれましたし、ベンチから出た選手達も自分の役割やチームで決めたことを遂行してくれたことが今日の勝利に繋がったと思います。

ジョン・ムーニー
試合の出だしからタフにプレー出来たと思いますし、リードを築いてからもそれを維持出来ました。前回は宇都宮さんのホームで酷い負け方をしてしまい、それもあって今日は強い気持ちを持って試合に挑んだので、本当に勝てて良かったと思います。

ウチは今年に入ってから今日までにまだ4試合しか出来ていなくて、直近の試合も2/9の天皇杯と間が空いていたので試合勘という面で不安もありました。ただ、この1ヶ月間で練習量を増やしたりコンディションづくりに励んだりしていたので、それがしっかり出せた試合だったと思います。
