#31 原のゴール下で先制するが、宇都宮#42 フォトゥのゴール下、ターンオーバーから#40 スコットにダンクを許す苦しい立ち上がり。セカンドチャンスから#1 ダンカンのゴール下、#2 富樫のジャンパーと続くも、宇都宮は内外で得点を重ねてくる。
その後は#31 原のアシストから#14 佐藤のゴール下、#34 スミスのバスケットカウントで点差を縮めるが、ディフェンスリバウンドに苦しむ千葉。しかし途中出場した#13 大倉が果敢に攻め、フリースロー、スティールからの速攻でレイアップと立て続けに得点を挙げ1点リードで第2Qへ。

開始から宇都宮はフリースローで得点を重ね、対する千葉はゴールが遠く苦しい展開。Q残り8:14のところで#34 スミスの3Pが決まり同点に並ぶと、#15 藤永もハードディフェンスでハッスルする。しかし宇都宮#13 渡邉に連続3Pを許し点差を離されたところで千葉はたまらずタイムアウト。タイムアウト明け、#1 ダンカンが3Pを沈めてチームを鼓舞するが、宇都宮の勢いが止まらず点差を11点まで広げられたところでOTへ。
OT明け、千葉は宇都宮のハードディフェンスに苦しむも得意とするトランジションから#2 富樫のレイアップ、#1 ダンカンのゴール下のタフショットなどで得点を重ねる。しかし、ターンオーバーから相手に得点を与えてしまうなどミスが目立ってしまい、その後も流れは変わらずビハインドを背負った状態で前半を折り返す。

Q終盤、#2 富樫の3P、セカンドチャンスから#21 エドワーズのゴール下が決まり9点差まで追い上げ、ここでオフェンスのリズムを上げていきたい千葉だが、宇都宮も#42 フォトゥがジャンパーやフリースローで得点するなど、なかなか点差を縮められないまま最終Qへ。

OT明け、両者重い展開が続く中、宇都宮#40 スコットのダンクで6点リードとされるも、我慢に我慢を重ねた残り50秒、#2 富樫の3Pが決まり点差は2点に。そして何としても死守したい場面で#21 エドワーズが値千金のブロックをみせ24秒バイオレーションを誘うと、続くポゼッションでは3Pを決めて残り10.4秒で逆転。その後、ファウルゲームで獲得したフリースローを#13 大倉がきっちり決め切り、ブレックスアリーナ決戦GAME1を3点差で勝ち獲った。

大野 篤史
40分間苦しい状況でしたが、選手達が我慢強く戦ってくれました。こういうCSのようなゲームを経験出来て、それを勝ち切れたというのは彼らの自信にも繋がると思いますし、また明日いいゲームが出来るよう準備していきたいと思います。
雷太にはレイアップにいってブロックされるよりダンクに行ってミスするくらいの方が俺は好きだよと伝えました。ショックを受けてたと思いますが立ち直って役割を果たしてくれましたし、颯太も含め若いウィングがディフェンス強度をあげ、インサイド陣も身体を張ってくれたのが勝利に繋がったと思います。

ギャビン・エドワーズ
最初スロースタートになってしまったんですが、しっかり戦い切ることができました。今回の試合でキーになったのはどれだけ辛抱強く戦えたかだと思います。前半に何度かパンチを喰らったところはありましたが、そこからチームで我慢して掴み取った勝利だと思います。
